Fight on train because a chick is eating food.

Oh look, another black vs. white transit fight (Epic Beard Man anyone?). This whole thing could’ve been avoided easily.

See, I know some of y’all aren’t from NYC, so I’ll tell you guys this, even though it should be applied everywhere: If it doesn’t concern you in any way, mind your own motherfucking business.

Do you know how many people eat on MTA trains or subways? Whether it’s against the rules or not, if you don’t work for them, be about yourself. Common logic, don’t start none, won’t be none…

New Yorker have a mouth on them and that leads to trouble.

I saw this on post secret and it reminded me of the argument that my Philosophy class had about what makes a benevolent God.

Its been 10 years.

followingmedown:

I remember exactly where I was 10 years ago. Sitting in my 5th grade class. It was one of those really nce fall days. Warm enough for short sleeves but cold enough for a sweatshirt. The sky was so blue. I got to school early for chorus practice. My teacher was mr. Fallen. At the time we all thought he was really tall, but he’s no taller than I am now. We were moving our desks into rows so we could take a spelling test. We were setting up our papers when our principal came on the loud speaker. She made the announcement ” attention signal hill students and faculty. I have just received word that around 8:30 this morning, two planes flew into the twin towers in NYC. We are to remain indoors for the remainder of the school day and all after school activities are canceled. We will keep the faculty updated throughout the day. Thank you”. At the time I honestly had no use what that meant so I didn’t understand why I saw some teachers and students really worried or crying. My teacher was kinda a goof ball so he tried making a joke out of it. Blaming any of us who have played sim city and had a plane crash, as one student claimed happened the night before. Me and my friend laura were joking that we needed to take cover and sat underneath our desks. A lot of students got picked up by their parents early, only about half the school was still their by the time we got on the buses to go home, myself included. I honestly don’t remember what happened the rest of the day, or what my mother told me. I remember my neighbor telling me that her mom had said to her that we are going to war. At the time we thought us personally.
I didn’t know anybody who died in the towers. Or in the plane, or any of the fireman and police officers. My cousin was in the bottom floor of the elevator and was one of the people in the ash covered march across the bridge. But that’s about it. I was lucky.
Thinking about the millions of lives, and families, and worlds were changed that morning, and I don’t think we ever really know why. it’s heartbreaking.
Or why 10 years later we are still at war.
All I do know is that 9/11 will not only be remembered for the lives lost, but also for showing the rest of the world how much we can come together and how strong we as a nation can
Be.

Our government on the other hand needs to get their shit together.

I was sitting at lunch in 6th grade when all of a sudden I was picked up early, and so confused as to why, my uncle told me what happened but as an 11 year old it was still hard to grasp the concept of why or how. When we got home, no regular programming was playing, no cartoons, Sister Sister, or Boy Meets World.

My best friend and I watched the news, I remember being scared, horrified, feeling unsafe, sad, angry, confused, etc. I live all the way uptown in Washington Heights, a few blocks from the GW Bridge, and my best friend and I sat on the fire escape and watched. We just watched the smoke coming up from about 13 miles away, in shock and awe. I had nightmares that night of the images and videos shown on the news of the planes crashing into the buildings, and people jumping out of windows. 10 years later I am still angry and disgusted that this happened. So many innocent lives lost because of hate and anger on that day, and too many still today dying for no reason.

I personally didnt lose anyone close to me on September 11, 2011 but over 2000 lives is more than enough for us to recognize and remember. I also didnt want to write much about it because it does spark emotions that just plain hurt.

Never Forget 9/11/2011 to the innocents who died, and to the heroes who ran into Hell to save those they could.
